PHOTO: Kever Of Hagon Rav Moshe Feinstein Fully Repaired

mk

Following an unfortunate incident at Har Ha’Menuchos where the Matzeiva on the Kever of Hagon HaRav Moshe Feinstein ZATZAL was crushed, YWN has learned that that the Kever has been fully restored.

The photo above was submitted YWN on Wednesday morning, and as can be seen, the work has been completed – paid for by the Belzer Rebbe Shlita.

As was reported by YWN on Sunday, thousands of Belzer Chassidim were at the tziyun of Rav Aaron of Belz ZT”L on his yahrzeit Sunday, 21 Menachem A 5773. Unfortunately, due to the large crowd the Matzeivah of Reb Moshe collapsed.

  1. Thank You Belzer Rebbe and all the dedicated Belzer askonim who went out of their way to repair this immediately and completed it in record time!

  2. #1 It would’ve been very surprising had they delayed it even for a day as Belz, under the guidance of the Rebbe shlit”a, is known to be one of the most efficient and disciplined chassidut.

  3. I was informed by someone in the know that the Belzer Rebbe’s son was at Reb Moishe’s kever 2 A.M. after this happened to ask Mechilla from Reb Moshe ZAL.

Now it is probably fitting that all of the posters that made nasty comments regarding this entire incident ask Mechilla from the targets of their sharp “tongues” also!

what is the big deal is just common courtesy that any group would do Jewish secular gentile. No big deal to make it like they went out of their way to do a good deed

  5. you don’t post anything that is critical of ywn on your website ?? I am sorry to hear that EVERYONE can use constructive critisisim

Moderators Response: Check the Coffee Room…thread after thread bashing YWN. We love those!

  6. #5 is correct. They simply did what they were mechuyav to do. You damage something? You fix it immediately! Certainly when the kever of the Gadol Hador is involved.

  7. To No. 3

If they were so “efficient and disciplined” the Rebbe never would have allowed a mob of his chassidim to stand on the matzavah of Reb Moshe,Z’tl, and those of many other less chashuve yidden in a frenzy to get close during his appearance on the yahrtzeit of his father. There was no crowd control and no one bothered to close the cemetery once the numbers exceeded the level that could be safely accommodated.

  8. Yes, they “only” did the right thing by fixing it. Yet after all the negative media coverage Belz received, shouldn’t the positive resolution of this saga be reported positively?

  9. While it’s certainly good to hear that they have repaired the damage, I would think that they should also feel as if a sefer Torah had been dropped in their presence, and act according to all that implies.
