New York City mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner has released a new campaign video saying he won’t quit the race.
The 1 minute video was posted on his campaign’s website Tuesday evening. Speaking directly into the camera, the former congressman addresses politicians and newspaper editors who have said he should quit.
He says they don’t know New York or him and that quitting isn’t what New Yorkers do, they “fight through tough things.”
He says in the video that when “embarrassing” things in a person’s private life become public, the person should talk about it.
A new poll released Monday found Weiner’s support fell from 26 percent last week to 16 percent.

It is probably best for all concerned that Weiner remain in the race and gets thoroughly trounced. Perhaps he will then get the message. Lets analyze.1) Leave to the side the perversion( would any school, parochial or public permit this “mayor” to be in the classroom?) 2) leave to the side the lying when confronted( would any parent hold this”mayor” up to their children as a role model?). He was an ineffective Congressman who did not represenmt the views of his constituents, which of course is his ego- my way or the highway. His rants on the floor of congress were an embarrasment. He favored civilian trials for terrorists and according them full constitutional rights. He never saw a tax increase that he did not embrace( how about the middle class Mr. Weiner?).Finally he almost lost to a veritable unknown. We are shamed if he ever becomes mayor of this city.
