[VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE] In a change of events, following Abe George calling it quits in the race for Brooklyn District Attorney, Ken Thompson received the endorsement today of Assemblyman Dov Hikind. Recognizing it as a newly minted competitive race, Mr. Hikind, who represents Borough Park and Midwood, endorsed Mr. Thompson as the “best choice for the Jewish community” and all the people of Brooklyn for District Attorney.
“I am proud to endorse Ken Thompson because he is the best choice for the Jewish community and all the people of Brooklyn to be our next District Attorney,” Mr. Hikind told reporters outside Amnon’s Pizza in Borough Park. “It’s time for a change. As a prosecutor and attorney in private practice, Ken has a proven track record of fighting for one standard of justice. Ken is a true friend to our community who honors the cultures that make Brooklyn great — I have no doubt that he will be an outstanding District Attorney.”
“Ken is a mensch,” Mr. Hikind added. Saying, “We do not need a tough DA, we need a fair DA.”
“I want to thank Assemblyman Hikind for his support. We are building the strongest, most diverse coalition in this race, and that is what it will take to bring change to the District Attorney’s office. Together, we will make our communities safer and ensure that there is one standard of justice for all the people of this borough,” said Ken Thompson.
Amid fresh reports about his conduct in Albany, Mr. Hikind did not promise delivering the Orthodox Jewish vote, as he did so in the past. Rather, he suggested granting Mr. Thompson 4 definite votes of himself, his wife and two sons.
After buying Mr. Thompson 2 slices of Kosher pizza, Mr. Hikind took the candidate for a stroll down 13th, introducing Mr. Thompson to by goers and store owner, urging them to vote for his choice for Brooklyn’s DA in the September 10th primary.
Seeming pretty anxious to prove his influence as a power broker in the Orthodox Jewish community had gone unscratched after the Blackface controversy and the latest revelations by Crains New York, Mr. Hikind, touring neighboring stores close to his district office, made sure voters who embraced him and his choice for DA are recorded on camera.

for once he is right hynes is trying to make himself a name on out expense
Hikind has very little influence on how frum voters in his community actually vote. Election after election with his endorsed candidates flopping have proven this.
Who cares?
Mr. Hikind’s endorsement is almost as valuable as the Daily News whose track record borders the abysmal.

Wrong, and you are twisting the facts to conform to your anti-Hikind agenda. Hikind always tours with his endorsments on 13th Avenue, it’s the heart of his district and also the place where his office is.
He is always passionate, so no proof that he was ” pretty anxious”.
I’m sure mr. Thompson enjoyed the ambiance of amnon’s and a stroll down 13th ave.
