Police report it “was a miracle” that an 18-month-old girl who was forgotten in a vehicle in Rishon L’Tzion only sustained light injuries. A pedestrian walking on Derech Tziyanut Street noticed the toddler locked inside the car and summoned assistance.
When she phoned police the dispatcher instructed her to immediately smash a car window to permit air to get in but she refused, afraid to do as told. Police arrived and smashed a window and pulled out the toddler, who was beginning to fade out due to the intense heat and dehydration. A Magen David Adom team checked the child and determined her condition was not serious B”H.
The mom returned as police and EMS were on the scene. She explained that she was not gone long, “just to get a key”. Police are not satisfied and have decided in light of the many cases of late, some ending in fatalities, the mother will be summoned for questioning and may face charges.
Israel’s EMS services, Magen David Adom and Ichud (United) Hatzalah have launched campaigns to increase awareness among parents/drivers.

MOTHER SHOULD BE PUT IN JAIL FOR A FEW DAYS OR BE MADE TO PAY A “HEFTY FINE”. JUST TO MAKE EVERYONE AWARE OF THE SERIOUSNESS OF SUCH PARENTAL MISCHEVOUS BEHAVIOR!!!!!!!!!
Maybe they should have mandatory psychological screenings before marriage because it seems that many people over there are not mentally capable of taking care of children.

I agree with WIY. I am a parent and would never leave my kids alone in a hot car. Parents should get check out before getting married. And all the parents who forgot kids in a car should spend a night in jail. Maybe it will wake them up. And ones that a child died. A week
