Chaggai Amir: Release my Brother Too

amirAs the government sets the stage for the release of 104 Arab terrorists, Chaggai Amir, the brother of convicted Rabin assassin Yigal Amir calls for the release of his brother. Yigal Amir is serving a life sentence after being convicted for the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin in 1995.

On his Facebook page Amir questions if Israeli Arabs are released from prison why Jews are not released as well, first and foremost his brother. He explains that it is clear to all that peace will not be a result of renewed diplomatic talks, and the latter has become an entity on its own.

“The moral arguments of the left-wing have left a hollow sound today more than ever. If so, let’s at least maintain a minimum of fairness and justice for they are not suffering from an abundance of these features.”

  1. He’s got a JUSTIFIED QUESTION.
If the State is releasing those with Jewish blood on their hands and some have massive Jewish blood, why not let Yigal free?

  2. The Arab terrorists being released in connection with the resumption of peace talks are not being released because they deserve to be released – they are being released because their sponsors are including them in the bargain for resuming peace talks, which the Israeli government wants. Also, the Israeli government holds its Jewish citizens to a higher level of responsibility than the sponsors of Arab terrorism apply to their terrorists.

Yigal Amir should be released only if and when he satisfies the requirements for clemency that apply to convicted murderers who are Israeli citizens and Jews.

  3. #2- By the way Amir should be freed even according to their (secular) laws. He was enticed by a Shabak agent called avishai raviv, he was given a gun by him and planks. Yigal amir switched them to real bullets and did what he did. BUT it is against the law (Israeli secular law) to do that. It is called “ENTRAPMENT” and that is what was done.

  4. My personal opinion is that yitzchak rabin AND shimon peres have a din rodef and its a mitzvah to kill them

  5. And its my personal opinion that the cold-blooded murderer of Yitzchak Rabin, Z’tl, will hopefully die in prison. He is fortunate EY does not have capital punishment.

  6. #5 You’re right about Raviv but where did you get your facts from? Yigal never switched them to real bullets. According to the doctors Rabin was killed from the back and Yigal shot from the front, which means Yigal didn’t even kill him but is sitting in jail while the perpetrator, probably an insider whom they “can’t” indict, is on the loose.

Israeli Judicial System: release hundreds of terrorists with blood on their hands while innocent ones keep locked up, especially if they wear a kipa.

  7. The intafada was a direct result of also rabin/peres are at fault for every single death. Remember all those bus bombings and all other sucide attacks who’s fault is it if not for peres/rabin who gave them weapons. I dont belive you wrote zt”l on this rasha the proper term is ym”s

  8. #8 W/E dont know about that. But lets say he did kill him, it wasn’t the biggest crime. Remember Rabin killed Jews in the Altellena, where are the bleeding liberals screaming about that assassinations? Also he was giving guns (which were used to murder Jews) and wanted to give away land to the enemies (Din Moser). According to Rambam (and Baba Kama 117a-b) someone who hands over Jewish property or lives deserves to be killed even without a trial.

  9. sifsei chachamim – Mr brave man who feels qualified to issue a death sentence for other Jews (something I believe even the Anshei Knesset HaGoglodah did very very rarely!) – Perhaps you ought to find out why we fast the day after Rosh Hashana? To write such a thing is stupid, & disgusting but if you feel so strongly about killing the President of Israel, rather than urge others to do this terrible thing, you be the big brave Shomrei Torah & you do it! A better use of your time would be to get off line & deal with the hatred in your own heart so that you can do some good in this world. Shame on you!
