Chabad Shaliach to Russia Rabbi Ovadia Isakov, who was wounded by a Muslim terrorist near his home last week, was visited by Chief Rabbi Elect David Lau. Baruch Hashem, after being transported to Israel and being treated in Beilinson Hospital he is showing significant signs of improvement.

Rav Lau on motzei Shabbos Parshas Eikev visited the shaliach, who serves as Chief Rabbi of Derbent in the Republic of Dagestan. According to the Chabad Online report Rav Lau recited Tehillim with family members as well as speaking with the patient.
