Once again Israel is planning to resume diplomatic talks with the PA (Palestinian Authority) and once again, the cabinet is discussing a good-will “prisoner release”. These are not ordinary prisoners but terrorists, Islamic terrorists committed to a cause, the murdering of Jews in Israel.
Eliciting the anger of many, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu went back on his word once again regarding the inclusion of Israeli Arab citizens. The original prisoner release list was reportedly 82, but that number has swelled to 104. The additional 22 terrorists include Israeli citizens. The cabinet today, Sunday, 21 Menachem Av 5773 is expected to vote on the good-will release.
The latest tactics from the prime minister to throw sand in the eyes of citizens is that these prisoners were all jailed prior to the signing of the 1993 Oslo Agreement, seeking to intimate they served their time. However, for the families of the victims, their friends and all sane individuals, releasing these heinous people for the privilege of being seated at a table with PA negotiators is nothing less than a betrayal and a moral outrage.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is experienced in this as this is not his first good-will gesture to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen). He speaks of how painful the decision is, he himself having lost a brother who fell in the line of duty in the IDF. The prime minister stated that despite the fact the decision is so difficult and so painful; it is the correct path for the diplomatic process with the PA must continue.
A special ministerial committee will review the list of names of the murderers, not to determine who will be released and who will remain, but to determine in what order they will be released over the coming months.
At present it appears that ministers from Yisrael Beitenu, Bayit Yehudi and some of Likud’s ministers will vote against the release of terrorists. Israel Radio reports that Minister Gilad Saar, who almost always sides with Prime Minister Netanyahu, has indicated that while he supports the resumption of talks with the PA, he will not vote for the release.
Saar added one stipulation in response to US pressure on Israel to approve the release. If President Barak Obama released Jonathan Pollard, then he will support the release of additional Arab murderers.

He is clearing places in prison for the Yeshiva bachurim who’ll refuse to be drafted in the army!
It’s simply mind-boggling.
It is absolutely amazing that America is forcing its closest friend in the middle east to capitulate and agree to release more terrorists for the sake of NEVER ANY PEACE when America’s own policy forbids it to release anyone from prison based on blackmail or bribery.
I totally agree with Minister Saar, America, give us Jonathan Pollard and we will take the next step. We have given too much already for zero return.
Even if Israel sat down with Abbas and the PA and came to an amicable solution for both sides, which I doubt, what makes anyone think hamas or the other arab terrorist or political factions will agree to it. Hamas has already said numerous times that it will never, ever agree to peace with “Israel or Jews”.
Why are we wasting our time, effort, and the cost of gas on a losing proposition.
Obama is not and never has been a true friend of Israel. Wake up people. He, wannabe Ayatollah Obummer if trying for forge his legacy with a middle east peace agreement. Why? Because he has failed at everything else he has tried and this may be his last chance.
This show once again that one of the main conditions for a prime minister to be elected to office is that he be severely lacking in intelligence
