At least 25 mortar shells fired from Syria landed in the northern Golan Heights on Tuesday morning, Tisha B’Av 5773. For residents of Alonei HaBashan and neighboring communities, it was a difficult morning as residents heard repeated explosions, mortars landing in the area.

The IDF believes the mortar shell fire is continued spill over to the ongoing civil war in Syria. A complaint was filed with the United Nations.
