Shas MK Eli Yishai met with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday evening the eve of 2 Menachem Av 5773 in the Prime Minister’s Office. They discussed the Share the Burden Law which addresses the daft of bnei yeshivos. Yishai met with Mr. Netanyahu in his capacity as the chairman of the Knesset Subcommittee on Homefront Preparedness.
Yishai warned the new law is tearing the nation apart but the prime minister defended the cabinet decision earlier in the week, passing the bill. Mr. Netanyahu tried to allay Yishai’s fears, explaining the law will only go into effect in four years.

In truth Bibi knows that Yishai is right, but he’s captive to Lapid knowing that if he toes the line he might upset Lapid enough to upset the coalition government thus endangering his coveted place in the prime minister’s chair. Which is what is the most important thing in his mind not the welfare of the nation.
According to the article their conversation went something like this:
Yishai: your draft law is tearing the nation apart
PM:Relax, the gezeira only starts in 4 years
Was that the extent of their conversation. A little deeper journalism please
