The van used to drive the Rebbe of Toldos Aaron Shlita was involved in an accident near Zvill Square in Yerushalayim after midnight on Tuesday, 2 Menachem Av 5773. The vehicle was hit by a car driven by Arabs. There were a number of injuries reported in both vehicles, all described as “light injuries”.
Ichud Hatzalah responded and treated the victims, some taken to a hospital for follow-up. The rebbe was not in the vehicle. He is currently vacationing out of Israel.

And why is this newsworthy?
Victims?! The correct word is casualties. Just because there were Arabs involved, doesn’t mean that those hurt were victims.
This story has so many problems with it, but one that strikes me off the bat, are we supposed to feel “sorry” that the Rebbe’s van was smashed? What about the Yidden who were hurt? There seems to be more emphasis on the fact that it was the REbbes car, but no worries, he is out of town…And it always bothers me that YWN posts pictures of detailed accidents where Yidden are involved. Certain things dont need to be shown. There is no toeles.
Maybe it’s punishment for not speaking out against violence by his people.
Why is the van used when the Rebbe is out of the country? Are his chassidim paying for the insurance, maintainence and gas while he is not using the car?
