As the number of firebomb and rock-throwing attacks throughout Yehuda and Shomron continue to climb, the media blackout has all but removed these attacks from the national spotlight. Unless there is a fatality or serious injury chas v’sholom, the media follows the coalition’s lead and ignores these attacks.
However, for the tens of thousands of motorists traveling the highways and byways of Yehuda and Shomron daily, these attacks are real and at time, they do result in injury. More frequently however, B’chasdei Hashem, the intended victims escape unharmed, left to deal with the damage to their vehicle from stones or firebombs.
On Sunday night Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av 5773 a female resident of Dolev in the Binyamin Region of Shomron was injured by rocks. She was treated and transported to a hospital.
Elsewhere, a firebomb was hurled at a vehicle in Gush Etzion. While the occupant emerged unharmed the vehicle was damaged. Hatzalah Yosh (Yehuda-Shomron) reports many rock-throwing attacks on Sunday throughout Yehuda and Shomron. A partial list follows.
