Police are investigating after a marked police van hit a man crossing the street in Brooklyn, killing him.

The NYPD says Saturday Felix Coss was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital after being hit by the van crossing Broadway Avenue in the Williamsburg neighborhood at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the 61-year-old was crossing from the south side to the north side of Broadway when he was hit by the van, which was turning onto Broadway from Hooper Street.

Police did not release the name of the officer driving the van.

Police are investigating whether Coss was crossing with the light.
