A criminal indictment was filed by the Jerusalem prosecutor in the Jerusalem District Court on Thursday, 26 Tammuz 5773 against the Kosel guard who shot and killed Doron Ben-Shalush.
Hadi Kablan will face charges of premeditated murder based on the evidence gathered by police during the investigation. It appears the victim following a routine security inspection at the Kosel began shouting ethnic slurs against the Druse community and “goyim dogs!” He directed his verbal assault at Kablan and a second guard. Police report that they learned Kablan asked the others guards if they are willing to pay him 1,000 NIS if he kills Ben-Shalush.
Witnesses first stated that Ban-Shalush was shouting in the bathroom. Kablan told police Ben-Shalush shouted Ala Akbar, after which he reached into his pocket, leading him to believe he was pulling out a gun, compelling him to shoot. He shot Ben-Shalush 14 times.
Police are now reporting that Ben-Shalush was killed in cold blood after Kablan spoke to his friends about killing him.
