VIDEO: PM Netanyahu: Israel’s Long Hand Will Reach Anywhere

Speaking to a Knesset plenum session on Tuesday, 24 Tammuz 5773, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made mention of the many threats facing the state of Israel today. The prime minister spoke of the July 4, 1976 hostage rescue mission in Entebbe as another anniversary of the daring rescue is observed, emphasizing “There is no were, absolutely no where in the world where the long arm of Israel cannot reach to defend the State of Israel”. He added “the difference between failure and success is a thin hair.”

The prime minister’s remarks were made at a special session to mark 37 years since that operation in which his brother, Lt.-Colonel Yonatan (Yoni) Netanyahu HY”D fell in the line of duty.

Yoni Netanyahu was the commander of the IDF’s prestigious Sayeret Matkal unit as well as the leader of the mission, which was posthumously named Operation Yonatan in his memory.

Also addressing the special Knesset session was Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennett, a former major in Sayeret Matkal. Bennett explained how Yoni was his childhood hero and how his named his oldest son after the fallen commander as well as molding his soldiers after the values and ethics taught by Yoni Netanyahu.

  1. Of course, good ol’ Netanyahu can’t say the long arm of Israel “with Hashem’s help”. Cuz, without that, he ain’t going anywhere!
