MK (Ra’am-Ta’al) Dr. Ahmed Tibi appeared on Knesset TV, speaking about current event issues. When asked by MK (Bayit Yehudi) Ayelet Shaked if he recognizes Israel as the Jewish State, Tibi calmly responded that he does not. Tibi added “what, you discovered America?”
“I have been saying it and continue to say this from every and any forum. I do not believe that you have any preference over me. I don’t accept this [concept].”

Tibi has a point. It’s supposed to be a Jewish state but does it look it? He sees it the way it is with chilonim running the place and judicial system. If it’s not a Jewish state and appears to be no different than any non-Jewish state, what right do the Zionist have taking it away from them?

Why should the Arabs support being a minority group. Arab Muslims will never agree to such, which is why the Hareidi Rabbanim favored peace rather than starting a war that can never end. As long as Israel insists that Palestinians be second class citizens in a Hebrew-speaking, non-Muslim state, there will never be peace, or security.
