There was a fire in Korns Bakery late Motzei Shabbos.
The fire, which started around 11:20PM on the second floor above the bakery located at 4314 15th Avenue, was knocked down and placed under control by the FDNY in just about 20 minutes. It is unknown how much damage the bakery suffered, but there were thankfully no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

I hope there wasn’t too much damage.
My uncle A”H worked for that bakery for many many years. He worked the night shift baking all those goodies. He used to come home to the Lower East Side at around 3 or 4 in the morning.
