An excessive heat warning remains in effect for this weekend with sweltering temperatures expected to reach between 100 – 108 degrees. Children, the elderly, and people with chronic ailments are the most susceptible to heat-related illness. Many elderly live alone with no family to check on them. We are asking that this Shabbos you please visit anyone who may be impacted by this weather, especially during midday and on your afternoon return to mincha to make sure they are doing well.

Heat exhaustion, cramps, or in extreme cases heat stroke can result from prolonged exposure to these severe weather conditions.
