Council Member Stephen Levin will meet with representatives from the Department of Health, United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg, and local yeshivas to discuss the recent measles outbreak in Williamsburg and strategies on how to contain it. The Department of Health has shown serious concern about the number of cases of measles and is working with local leaders and yeshivas to prevent it from spreading.
“It is very important that we prevent this measles outbreak from spreading,” said Council Member Stephen Levin. “By holding this meeting we are working to make sure the community has as much information as possible on how to contain measles and prevent the situation from getting any worse.”
“The health of our children is of the upmost importance,” said Rabbi David Niederman, Executive Director of United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg. “We are all concerned about this outbreak and we must do everything we can to contain it and protect the health of every man, woman, and child.”
