Ponevezh talmid Chaim Pearlstein was convicted in the assault of HaPeles editor-in-chief Nati Grossman, which occurred in Teves 5773. Jerusalem District Court Justice Yaakov Tzaban on Monday morning, 16 Tammuz 5773 accepted the plea bargain agreement reached between the defense and prosecution. He is found guilty of aggravated assault and will face a 10-month jail sentence.

The defense will ask the court to consider converting the jail time to community service, probation and a monetary fine. Sentencing will take place in about 10 weeks.
