Foreign Ministry Employees Step Up Sanctions

ispaWith no end to the strike in sight Foreign Ministry employees beginning on Monday, 16 Tammuz 5773 are stepping up work sanctions in Israel and in embassies and consulates worldwide. Visas, permits, passports and many other document services are being halted. This includes marriage registration, birth certificates and more. The sanctions will also be levied against officials including UN employees and foreign diplomats.

Employee representatives insist management is not negotiating in good faith and with no settlement to their labor issues in sight, they feel they must step up sanctions towards pressuring the ministry and treasury to respond to demands.
