Just one day before tens of thousands of Orthodox Jews head Upstate New York for the Summer 2013, YWN came across an article in a local newspaper, the Shawangunk Journal. The article itself is about some ongoing dispute over construction at a Chasidic camp in the Town of Wawarsing. But what followed the article was a long, hate-filled, and what we found to be a very anti-semitic comment.
We have published it in the all new YWN Catskills section, which will be providing the latest breaking news for Upstate New York and surrounding areas. The site will be flowing with live updates, traffic reports, local events, weather forecasts, and other crucial information regarding everyday life upstate. The site has a mobile-friendly web-page, and will be updated hourly.

the commnet is Anti-Semitic in tone, it is a reaction to things that do happen to many tie in the frum communties. Issues that leaders never bring up, never hold asifas for.
Wow, this is so sad. Unfortunately, some of the details may be true. We all have a responsibility to be mekadesh shaim shamayim. Rabbanim and lay people have exhorted us to be on our best behavior, especially when driving, when waiting in line, not cutting the line, not returning merchandise that’s been used; being friendly, helpful and not “holier than thou,” etc. I’m sure we could all think of examples.
Are women really getting married in a religious service only and claiming to be single mothers, yet are getting food stamps, etc. for their children? Is this being done with a rov’s “hechsher?”
” not returning merchandise that’s been used; being friendly, helpful and not “holier than thou,” ”
What you mentioned everyone Jew or non-Jew does and it is found among everyone. Not doing them is what would then be labelled “holier than thou,” as you said.
brooklynbubby- By the way those things already are said by Rabbanim and not doing such things. Also not even wasting time for one’s employer and how it is considered stealing. Waht other religion says these things?
