A new study says speeding drivers are killing more people in Brooklyn than in any other borough across the city.
The report, released by Transportation Alternatives, shows that 88 percent of drivers were caught over the speed limit in various neighborhoods. Of that percentage, many were recorded at more than 60 mph.
“This is urgent,” says Transportation Alternatives general counsel Juan Martinez. “It’s a matter of life and death.”
A bill is currently being considered in Albany that would approve speed cameras for New York City.

Where does the article say anything about Brooklyn?
Where in Brooklyn are they speeding? Ocaen Parkway? Coney Island Avenue? Flatbush Avenue? Rogers Ave? Eastern Parkway? Bedford?
Gas prices? Most streets, you can’t go more than 2 miles an hour! There are way to many cars on the local streets. Every fool feels the need to drive 2 blocks to their local grocery or Shul! Then they block traffic circling round & round looking for pump or a driveway they can leave their car for a “few” minutes.
Anyway, I read every year that Queens Blvd is the most dangerous road in all of NY with the most deaths between vehicle & pedestrian.
