Former US President Bill Clinton, who is in Yerushalayim to take part in the 90th birthday celebration for President Shimon Peres decided to visit the Kosel on Tuesday, 10 Tammuz 5773.
Welcoming the former US president was Kosel Rav Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz. Clinton prayed and placed a kvitel in the Wall as well as taking a tour of the Kosel tunnels.
Clinton said “I love this place.”
“Here we see the many different lives that have been in Jerusalem through the different periods, signing in the visitors’ book and stating Yerushalayim “is an eye opening experience.”
