A photo of Yesh Atid party leader Finance Minister Yair Lapid as an SS officer is circulating on the internet. The photo, which has gone viral on social netword sites shows Lapid wearing an Nazi cap and has been fitted with the infamous Hitler mustache with two dollar signs displayed on his collar instead of the “SS” symbol. The caption reads “צורר כלכלת ישראל” (enemy of the Israeli economy).
PR specialist Roni Rahav brought the matter to the Israeli public eye, explaining the photo was uploaded to Facebook on Tuesday, 10 Tammuz 5773.
Rahav labels the photo “an outrage”, adding “It is a shame that we have forgotten what occurred 19 years ago, when Yitzchak Rabin was assassinated. I hope police act to immediately arrest the person who posted the photo of Finance Minister Yair Lapid on Facebook.”
Police Chief Yochanan Danino announced an investigation has been launched.

I love it. This is cute but ironically accurate.
While one might make a sarcastic account about the lack of free speech under Israeli law, it should be noted that Israel is the most free and most democratic country in the middle east.
When you are in the same league as Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia, it’s easy to be a league leader (hmmm, perhaps the Mets would do better if they played Norfolk, Scranton or Brooklyn).
Horrible! Terrible. The worst yid is still better than the best non……. and for sure better than Ymach Shmo man!
If you haven’t been depicted as Hitler on the internet, then you must not be very famous.
