MKs took part in a Knesset hearing addressing security concerns on Har HaZeisim, so much so that many fear visiting even though their loved ones are buried on the holy site.
Abe Lubinsky, Chairman of the International Committee for the Preservation of Har Hazeitim (ICPHH) spoke with Arutz-7, explaining his work and the concerns of the committee, as well as the need for officials in Israel to do more to ensure the safety of visitors. He and his colleagues are also concerned over the status of the beis hachaim, which is too often targeted by Arabs vandals.
Lubinsky tells that over recent years 137 cameras have been placed into operation along with the opening of a police station, but stresses more needs to be done.
