MK Orbach: The Situation is Proof of the Need for Change in the Rabbanut

amarMinister of Senior Citizens Affairs (Bayit Yehudi) Uri Orbach tells the media on Monday 9 Tammuz 5773 that the “fuss” surrounding the election for new chief rabbis is proof that there is a need for change in the institution known as the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. Orbach explains on his Facebook page that a “new spirit” is needed in the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

Regarding the statements made by Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita against Rabbi David Stav, Orbach adds “the atmosphere of verbal hooliganism cultivated by chareidi rabbonim, politicians and media can quickly revert to the physical.” He explains the majority is “repulsed” by these actions and prefers a rabbi like Rav Stav.

  2. moeIsrael, since they’re “all goyim,” it should be easy to cite one of them by name. Just one shiksa or shkotz to make your libel official.
