Regional events seem to impact citizens of Israel as the IDF Homefront Command reports a 30% increase in requests for gas mask protection kits.

The increase has been seen during the last two weeks. Prior to that time, about 2,000 masks were distributed daily around the country. The last days a record number of 4,730 was recorded in one day as citizens become increasingly concerned amid reports of threats from Syria and Iran.

The Israel Postal Authority, which handles delivers of kits, reports an increase as well from 200 daily to twice that number in the past two weeks.
