Former Jerusalem Mayor Rabbi Uri Lupoliansky wishes to run for another term in office. After serving as mayor of the capital, Lupoliansky stepped down in line with Yahadut Hatorah coalition agreements.
However, Lupoliansky, who is a defendant in the Holyland trial, awaits a decision from the state prosecution in the case, chareidi affairs analyst Yaakov Rivlin writes on his Facebook page.
The question remains is if Lupoliansky will be able to make an agreement with the prosecution that will not include a ‘moral turpitude’ stain, since the latter will bar him from running. Justice David Rosen has already indicated that the court appears willing to accept a plea bargain agreement concerning Lupoliansky. If the state does not wish to accept a plea bargain agreement and the trial continues for Lupoliansky, he will not be able to run in the mayoral race this time around.
If a deal is reached, one that does not include the moral turpitude clause, Lupoliansky will most likely convene a press conference to announce his candidacy.

Holyland trial was already thrown out of Court.
Lupoliansky refused the plea bargain ,and then the other side admitted the accusations “heard round the world” were completely false (and just to make him look bad).
YWN – Israel Desk again shows their pitiful ignorance, buying what their secular ‘friends’ feed them
