Undoubtedly there are different approaches in dealing with one’s enemy. At a time when there is an outcry for changing ‘open fire’ orders for IDF soldiers operating in Yehuda and Shomron due to a sharp increase in attacks, some soldiers feel there is nothing wrong with lending a helping hand, even for local PA (Palestinian Authority) residents.
The IDF Spokesman’s Office on Tuesday, 19 Sivan 5773 released the following film footage showing how IDF soldiers were the first to come to the assistance of PA farmers, whose tractor need a push.
Some feel that this is nothing more than the mercy of fools while others believe acts such as these buy goodwill between soldiers and PA residents.

This is wonderful. It is basic human decency to help and care for another in need. Palestinians are human beings and should be treated as such. Tov Hashem Lakol Vrachamov Al Kol Maysav.
Well done חברה!
As a חוצניק who had learned in ישיבה in Israel for a while, I was there long enough to realize that we do not fully understand the position of proper Israelis who are stuck there like their fathers and grandfathers before them and have no escape abroad when the going gets tough.
They are brought up fearing the Arabs and the Arabs are brought up hating Israel. And I put myself in a position where I can see that there are valid complaints and arguments on both sides.
Yes I do see the position of the Palestinian who’s land was lost in 1948 and he wants it back. And of course we all know the Israeli side.
If stories like this become the norm, I guarantee that the rock throwing incidents and hate will reduce. Not vanish entirely, but the 2 sides will be able to sit down and understand where the other is coming from.
Yes in an ideal world we should get 100% off the country. But while we are anyway in גלות, it’s it not worth anything to make our lives and the lives of our children safer?
They are certainly not the old testament refers to the descendants of Yishmael as Pera adam –with Pera being the noun and adam being the adjective
#1, and yet when they kill themselves in a suicide bombing they mysteriously become animals! Please tell me when does this transformation take place!
