The second round of talks towards the normalized resumption of relations between Israel and Turkey is set to take place in Israel on Monday, 26 Iyar 5773. In round one of the talks a delegation headed by National Security Advisor Yaakov Amidror traveled to Turkey.
Amidror will not be present at the start of the talks due to other commitments surrounding Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s state visit to China. Mr. Netanyahu departs for China on Sunday, 25 Iyar.
The Turkish delegation will be headed by that country’s deputy foreign minister. The main issue on the agenda is finalizing the deal by which Israel will make compensatory payment to the families of nine Turkish nationals killed on board the Marvi Mamara.
