Justice Minister (The Movement) Tzipi Livni is scheduled to meet with Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington on Thursday, 22 Iyar 5773. Accompanying Livni is attorney David Molcho, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s special emissary.

The minister will be discussing Kerry’s efforts to advance the diplomatic process between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority), particularly the Arab League announcement of this week. Livni had words of praise for the Arab League statement, which indicates a willingness to compromise of demands for Israel to retreat to the pre-June 1967 boundaries in exchange for land swaps between Israel and the PA.

Livni was given a senior position in negotiations between Israel and the PA to entice her into the coalition government. She has stated she plans to focus her energies on advancing the stalled diplomatic process towards the establishment of the State of Palestine.
