There was a ruckus in the Tuesday 20 Iyar 5773 session of the Knesset Interior Committee regarding the issue of women davening in the ezras noshim of the Kosel. Women of the Wall leader Anat Hoffman put on a tallis during the meeting, leading chareidi MKs present to protest. They accused her of acting inappropriately and intentionally provoking machlokes.
Committee chair, MK (Likud) Miri Regev joined in with the chareidi committee members in decrying Hoffman’s actions.

This might be the first picture of a woman I’ve seen on this site.
Maybe its time for these Chareidi MKs to simply “get over it” and stop fixating on this nareshkeit. Their tzibur is in desparate need of economic assistance, job-training, better schools and health-care yet these clowns are focused on how some woman wants to daven in the ezras hashim of the kosel. Clearly these women are seeking publicity but its not worth the time and resources to keep fighting this losing battle. Let them daven how they wish

The charedi Knesset members should keep fighting it. Maintaining the kedushah of the Kotel is at stake. They are Baalei machloket and should be stopped. Gadolhadorah – you should change your username.

If that’s a tallis, my daughter has one just like it – she wears it during the winter, it’s called a scarf.
