The Meuchedet Kupat Cholim (HMO) working with Ichud (United) Hatzalah (UH) will be establishing a medical clinic in Meron ahead of the Lag B’Omer Shabbos. Over 250,000 visitors are expected to arrive in Meron over the Lag B’Omer weekend, with the highlight beginning on motzei Shabbos at 23:30 when the Boyaner Rebbe Shlita lights the Lag B’Omer bonfire.

Needless to say Magen David Adom officials’ met this week with representatives of Hatzalah to make arrangements for their role in weekend’s EMS operation. Senior personnel from both organizations met in the north to map out their coverage and responsibilities. Zaka will also be on hand, and as in past years, it will be concentrating on caring for and uniting lost children, realizing many children become separated from their guardians during the visit to Meron.

The MDA emergency number is 101. Ichud Hatzalah is 1221 and Zaka is 1220.

Ichud Hatzalah reports its Rashbi operation will be activated at noon on erev Shabbos and continue until 22:00 on Sunday, 18 Iyar 5773. The medical clinic will be staffed with physicians, paramedics and EMTs . In addition, there will be EMS personnel circulating throughout the entire area from all the organizations, visible by their distinctive vests and hats.
