A chareidi teen was assaulted outside the Jerusalem Central Bus Station on Tuesday evening 13 Iyar 5773. The attacker, described as a non-frum Jew, shouted anti-chareidi insults at the victim, the victim and witnesses reported. The attacker also spat at his victim as he continued shouting insults at him.
He shouted at him “I should be ahead of you in line you parasite” adding vulgarities to his angry verbal attack.
A number of the witnesses feel the attack is a direct result to the increasing anti-chareidi sentiment deemed legitimate in the media in Israel today.

Maybe it’s because this behavior has been “deemed legitimate” by charedim who mistreat soldiers and women on buses.
Last time when the media was busy that a girl got spat by a chriedy it was the biggest crime of mankind. But now when a chariedy got spat on a by non-frum Jew it is acceptable as OK and no crime at all, and this is called a Jewish state?
#1 ive been in israel for 3 years ride buses all the time and trains have never seen anybody even talk to a non religious woman or soldier. Is refusing to look at immodestly clad women considered mistreating them

even when they punk the yiddishkeit is available to be seen and i beileve the yiddishkeit in eretz yisroel is becoming more and more pervasive… as time goes on its getting harder and harder to obviate it..
now on another note, the problem in israel is that the legal system is biased and skewed and corrupt. What one standard of justice for charedim and toshavei yishuvim is not the same standard legally and culturally for liberals and arabs building illegal houses in the negev by the dozens!

So this is reported, but every time a Charedi spits on or yells at someone on a bus (as #1 points out), YWN is silent?
Why should we believe this to be true any more than you consider reports of those offenses to be true?
