MK Maklev Presents Strike Information Bill

strikeMK (Yahadut Hatorah) Rabbi Uri Maklev is pushing a bill that would compel the establishment of a ‘moked’ strike information center. He explains that when there is a strike, as the case this week involving Israeli airlines, residents are unable to receive timely reliable information as to what services are effected as so forth.

In his statement to the press, Maklev explains “we have grown tired of seeing the photos of the elderly and children stranded in the airport”, calling for the establishment of a mechanism that would ensure an active, timely, informative hotline would be made available to the general public.

Maklev feels that information can and would alleviate much of the aggravation caused by a strike that too often leaves people in difficult situations. His bill is backed by coalition chairman MK (Likud) Yariv Levin and colleagues Moshe Gafne and Yaakov Asher.
