Education Minister (Yesh Atid) Rabbi Shai Piron issued a clarification after signaling ministry school trips to Hebron would be halted. The minister explained that students would still be taken to the city and additional locations would be added to the ministry’s roster. Piron stated that for each of the six years of junior and high school, students would visit a different area.

According to ministry officials, to date, 2,000 students attending the nation’s public schools have visited Hebron to date.
