After running a high fever for a number of consecutive days, HaGaon HaRav Nissim Karelitz Shlita was admitted to Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak last Shabbos, Kikar Shabbat reports. Doctors fear a systemic infection and after consulting with family members, the decision was made to play it safe and admit the elderly Gadol.
The rav has been on intravenous antibiotic therapy and doctors hope to decide today, Sunday, 13 Nissan 5773, if he will be discharged for Pesach.
Persons close to the av beis din report that he is conscious and alert and he was doing well on Shabbos.
The tzibur is asked to be mispallel for רבי שמריהו יוסף ניסים בן בתיה לרפואה שלימה בתוך שאר חולי ישראל.

One cannot imagine the emes of Rav Nissim. He is a person of great inner strength and yashrus.There is so much more to write, however being erev Pesach time is very limited. He is a true Gadol. Hashem should give him a Refuah Shleima
