It would appear that economic realities take their toll even with Pesach on the horizon. Officials report on Thursday, 10 Nissan 5773, that there was only a 2.5% increase in purchases by credit card over the past 48 hours, half the amount seen during the same time period a year ago and two years ago. The Gama Company reports the figures based on two million credit card purchases made in 6,000 businesses nationwide.
According to the data, the average credit card purchase in the past 48 hours was 411 NIS as compared to 434 NIS last year and 563 NIS in 2011.

The real reason for the sharp drop is that my wife was ill so I did the shopping. I bought only what we needed for Pesach.
the owner of the store threaten me that if I don’t send my wife and he has to declare bankruptcy, he will give me his wife to keep.
Help!
The poorer you are, and the larger your family, the higher percentage of your budget goes to food. Thus if something has impacted on non-affluent families with many children,it will be felt first in food shopping. The platform of a government dedicated to the secular middle class (i.e. to affluent families with a small number of children) probably suggest tha frum families should be extra-frugal since harsher econmomic conditions appear to be forthcoming.
