A New York state lawmaker already facing bribery charges is facing additional federal charges of falsely securing tens of thousands of dollars in travel reimbursements.

Federal prosecutors charged Assemblyman William Boyland Jr. of Brooklyn with three counts of mail fraud Monday.

Prosecutors said Boyland sought reimbursements for travel to Albany while he was 150 miles away soliciting bribes from undercover FBI agents.

On the days he was being secretly taped by the FBI, Boyland’s E-ZPass records for his vehicle show that he was not in Albany.

The indictment says that Boyland received “tens of thousands of dollars” in mileage expenses and per diem payments that he was not entitled to collect.

The New York Times and the Daily News said Boyland did not return calls seeking comment.
