Despite the fact that Bulgarian officials determined that the July 2012 terror attack in Burgas which left five Israelis and a local man dead was the work of Hizbullah, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Marin Raikov announced he will not pressure the European Union to add Hizbullah to the list of terrorist organizations.

Raikov did not give an explanation for his actions, but the local media speculates the foreign minister does not want to take such a step, fearing reprisal terror attacks by Hizbullah.
