If indeed an outstretched hand is directed at chareidim to join the coalition, for some it may be harder for others to accept such a gesture following the harsh statements being made during recent weeks against the coalition leaders and players.
Shas’ Aryeh Deri on Wednesday 2 Nissan commented on what appears will be Israel’s next coalition, one he labels “white and non-chareidi” in character.
Deri blames the people managing the coalition talks of an incitement campaign against chareidim. “The atmosphere in this house is one of exclusion of chareidim which enjoys the backing of the media”.
Deri added that the recent anti-chareidi graffiti seen in Bat Yam is a direct result of the hate campaign orchestrated by Yair Lapid.

As a potential candidate for mayor of Jerusalem, he should sound more upbeat about those he might be allied with.
What a hypocrite. Remember ‘Bait Shel Goyim’? ‘Kochavit Giyur’?
And those words turned out to be true once BY allied with Lapid.
Deri is right but they are tired of his race baiting. It won’t get them anymore votes. I just don’t understand why “certain” prominent Sefaradim here in NY give tremendous financial support to Netanyahu & Barak (Ashkenazim), ignoring their own downtroden Brothers in the Holyland!
There are sefardim in Bayit Yehudi, Likud and Kadima.
