HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita made reference to Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid during a siyum on מועד קטן and חגיגה. The Gadol Hador delivered words of chizuk, and when he arrived at the words of the Gemara dealing with פושעי ישראל אין אור של גיהנום שולטת בהם. The rav was asked just who these people are, to which he is quoted as saying “למפאיניקעס” (Mapai) and “ללפדניקעס” (Lapid followers).
The voice of Gedolei Torah, a voice giving chizuk and expressing concern has been increasingly audible over recent days as it appears the next government in Eretz Yisrael will actively attempt to remove talmidei yeshivos from their limud, as well as taking other actions in contradiction to Halacha. This would include new agreements impacting the area of state giyur and public buses running on Shabbos.

Will Bayit Yehudi continue with Yesh Atid if the latter remains firm in demands for Shabbos bus service and civil marriage?

I am responding from a position of knowing. These issues are a non-starter. Any government that we are a part of will not permit Shabbos public bus service or civil marriage. You can record this in my name.
This should be stated in plain English to show that our gedolim love every Jew – even if they are sinners, they will not burn in hell
Lapid is a sonai yisroel and will end up with his due reward. Bayit Yehudi is a cover up for a party that switches its position every week; you never know with them what will be.
I can enthusiastcially suppoort “Kolemes’.-rather that seeing only evil in jews, let us follow the barditchever- who saw only good in every jew!
#2 and 4, the Gemorah is obviously not to be understood ke’pshuto 100%. Otherwise, you mean to tell me that any Jew could just do aveiros and be assured of no Gehenom — that doea not make sense.
