The Torah world is excitedly anticipating the grand Chanukas HaBayis of Mosdos Ateres Shlomo, a veritable empire of Yeshivos and Kollelim under the venerable auspices of Rosh HaYeshiva HaGaon HaRav Sholom Ber Sorotzkin, shlit”a, one the central Torah pillars in our generation. The Chanukas HaBayis of the brand-new Yeshiva Ketana in Modi’in Illit is scheduled to take place on Erev Rosh Chodesh Nissan, and fervent preparations are now at their height. Thousands of alumna, avreichim, talmidim and friends of Ateres Shlomo, both from Eretz Yisrael and abroad, will join in the festive event which will be attended by Gedolei HaDor, shlit”a, including Rosh HaYeshiva HaGaon HaRav Aharon Leib Steinman, shlit”a, who will dedicate the Kollel and deliver his heartfelt blessings to the throngs of participants joining together to honor and glorify Torah.

Hundreds of Roshei Kollel and Rabbanim, Roshei Yeshivos and Dayanim, shlit”a, will participate in this gala celebration of Torah and Kiddush Shem Shamayim. The message of the evening will be exalting limud Torah and lomdei Torah during these difficult times when the futures of countless bachurim and avreichim in Eretz Yisrael are at stake. The evening will highlight the magnitude of Torah study and honor avreichei kollel who wave the banner of Torah and toil devotedly with diligence and love to learn and teach despite the challenges.

The evening will be attended by family members and friends of distinguished patrons Rabbi and Mrs. Gamliel Kazari who donated the Yeshiva building in loving memory of the unforgettable tzaddeikes, Rebbetzin Batsheva Esther Kanievsky, a”h, late wife of Sar HaTorah HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky, shlit”a. The Chanukas HaBayis will also feature the dedication of the Beis Midrash HaGadol—Heichal Avraham Pinchas and Malka Pollack, a”h, which was donated by the family; dedication of the Rechnitz Family Kollel in Modi’in Illit; dedication of the magnificent Aron Kodesh which was donated l’ilui nishmas Maran HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv, zt”l; and a double Hachnassas Sefer Torah to the Heichal. The Rosh HaYeshiva HaGaon HaRav Aharon Leib Steinman, shlit”a, will personally dedicate the Kollel. Keynote speaker will be the honored philanthropist Rabbi Sholom Yehuda Rechnitz who is arriving especially from the United States to participate in this joyous occasion. The Rosh HaYeshiva, shlit”a, gave his blessing to this choice, adding that Rabbi Rechnitz has merited both Torah and gedulah.

The event will commence on Monday afternoon, Erev Rosh Chodesh Nissan at five p.m. with the final Ksivas Osios of both Sifrei Torah, in the home of Rabbi Eliezer Sabardello, shlit”a, in Modi’in Illit. At 6:30 p.m., a parade of torch-wielding children will lead a chuppah with the two Sifrei Torah toward the Beis Midrash; and the ensuing Seudas Mitzvah will begin at 8:30. Rabbanim, Gedolei Torah, friends of the Yeshiva, and most notably, Rosh HaYeshiva HaGaon HaRav Aharon Leib Steinman, shlit”a, will grace the event with their presence.

In honor of Mosdos Ateres Shlomo’s upcoming event, Gedolei HaDor, shlit”a, have emotionally expressed that since the times of the Ponoviczer Rav, zt”l, who endeavored tirelessly to reignite Torah among Klal Yisrael after the decimation of European Jewry, there has not been such an escalation of Torah learning and avreichim who toil devotedly on behalf of Torah as today. Indeed, never in history have Klal Yisrael witnessed such vast numbers of talmidei chachamim and lomdei Torah who learn full-time in Yeshivos and Kollelim throughout the world under the esteemed direction of our Gedolei Torah.

Thousands of avreichim, talmidim and alumna of Mosdos Ateres Shlomo share overwhelming sentiments of elation and heartfelt joy in these days prior to the grand Chanukas HaBayis and Hachnassas Sifrei Torah that will honor and glorify Torah and talmidei chachamim in the world. Above all is a resounding spirit of simcha and unity in the knowledge of the expansion and rejuvenation of the Torah world in general and Mosdos Ateres Shlomo in particular with its ever increasing number of learners, yeshivos and kollelim.  At the event, all will join together to pay tribute to the venerable Rosh HaYeshiva and visionary, HaGaon HaRav Sholom Ber Sorotzkin, shlit”a, who first initiated Mosdos Ateres Shlomo over fifteen years ago, and whose marvelous accomplishments in Torah and teaching have created one of the most significant Torah empires of this generation. This event, epitomizing true simchas haTorah, is undoubtedly the greatest tool in battling external forces that seek to harm our Torah world.
