New York’s most wanted man has been given an ultimatum by police.
He either turn himself in this evening, or he will be taken into custody by force.
Highly credible sources tell YWN that Julio Acevedo, the fugitive suspect in the hit-and-run that killed a Williamsburg couple and their newborn son, has been in contact with police today, and was given the deadline a short while ago.
Interestingly, not only has he spoken to police, but he has even given multiple interviews to media – dozens of whom are currently camped out in front of the NYPD’s 90th Precinct.
Earlier Tuesday, the suspect spoke with the NY Daily News, and said he fled the scene because he “was scared of someone shooting at me.”
“I was scared. I just got shot at,” he added.
Later, the suspect then spoke with WABC / Channel 7 News, and gave the same story, but claims he’s talking to an attorney before turning himself in.

Acevedo has a long rap sheet including a 1987 manslaughter conviction for killing a Brooklyn man and another arrest just two weeks ago for driving while intoxicated.
Acevedo is believed to have been the driver of the BMW sedan which slammed into the cab carrying expectant parents Nachman and Raizy Glauber Z”L, who were on their way to the hospital because the mother-to-be felt ill.
Doctors performed an emergency C-section to deliver the premature infant after the crash, but R”L died a day later.
Stay with YWN as we bring you the latest in this developing story.

Interesting. If it was a police officer who was killed, this bum would of been in a holding cell within a few hours! What’s this nicey nice going on? Way to go Charles Hynes/Ray Kelly! Great “friends” of the Orthodox community.
ummmmmmm if they know where he is, why don’t they just arrest him???
I hope he resists arrest and gets shot.
I agree with #2. If they know where he is, why don’t they go get him?
He killed three people. He should be locked up by now.
Editors: Please proofread your articles before posting them. The line near the bottom of the article, “Doctors performed and emergency C-section…”, is missing a few words.
Speaking of proofreading, I should have said “AN emergency C-section”. Sorry.
Imagine just imagine, if the cards were turned the other way.The driver was a Chasidic Jew and the victims were black or Hispanic, there would be riots in the streets to arrest the perp. Yet when the Jew is the victim……..
I thought the police gave him a deadline? The evening is almost over?
JUST REMEMBER GUYs— unfortunely by arresting this bum you are not going to bring back the Glaubers, contrary to popular belief
