New Yorkers know that driving in the city can be a major hassle, and now a new analysis says New York is the worst city for getting behind the wheel.
Consumer watchdog NerdWallet says even though only 28 percent of New Yorkers drive to work, drivers in the city are delayed by an average of 59 hours each year.
It also says gas in the five boroughs costs nearly eight percent more than the national urban average.
Rounding out the list of the worst cities for drivers: Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Boston.
NerdWallet complied its list by analyzing the number of hours drivers are stuck in traffic,
the price of gas compared to the national average, and the population of each city.
