To say Elad is a city plagued with harsh politics would be a mild understatement, but nevertheless one still expects that in a chareidi tzibur, there is a line that does not get crossed. It would appear that line has faded in Elad, for police are trying to ascertain who placed a 2 meter python snake at the front door of Deputy Mayor Yisrael Porush.

One of Porush’s neighbors arrived home in their building on Pinchos ben Yair Street, and found a pizza box positioned in a suspicious fashion in front of Porush’s door. The neighbor decided to take a look and when he picked up the box he felt immediately it was too heavy for pizza, and then the over six foot long snake fell out onto the ground.

They summoned police and a snake catcher was called, soon realizing the snake was dead. Police are investigating and are regarding the incident as a most serious one.
