Amid rumors of a presidential visit to Har Habayis during his March 2013 visit to Yerushalayim, Hamas has warned US President Barak Obama that making a visit to Har Habayis would be a “diplomatic catastrophe”.
Highlighting the terror organization’s opposition to such a visit, Hamas added that Obama visiting the site “under Zionist occupation” would have a greater significance than moving the United States Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which Hamas views as “Israeli occupied”.
