When US President Barak Obama arrives in Israel on March 20, 2013, President Shimon Peres will bestow upon him the Presidential Medical of Distinction, viewed as a reciprocal move for the Medal of Freedom Mr. Peres received from the US leader during his recent visit to Washington.
According to presidential aides, Mr. Obama will be recognized for his “unique and significant contribution to strengthening the State of Israel and the security of its citizens.”
