Heads of Bnei Brak and Lakewood, New Jersey met last week to reaffirm Lakewood’s commitment to the Eretz Yisrael Torah city. The meeting took place during a brief visit to the United States by Bnei Brak Mayor Avraham Rubinstein who made a stop in Lakewood, which twinned with Bnei Brak. Rav Eliyahu Choder, representative of Lakewood yeshivos in Eretz Yisrael accompanied the mayor.
The mayor met with the roshei yeshiva Shlita, including HaGaon HaRav Aryeh Malkiel Kotler Shlita as well as with Rabbi Aaron Kotler, the CEO of the yeshiva. Lakewood Mayor Isaac Ackerman was on hand too, Yated Neeman reports.
The visiting dignitaries also visited the Chemed Health Center near the yeshiva and later met with New Jersey Senator Robert Singer, who was in Bnei Brak a number of months ago.
