Bayit HaYehudi leader MK Naftali Bennett on Monday morning 8 Adar 5773 visited Mir Yeshiva in Yerushalayim. The visit comes as Bennett continues to deliver his message that he is not seeking to uproot a single yeshiva, seeking to send a message of friendship to the chareidi tzibur. The visit was reportedly approved by HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita, who feels it would be beneficial for Bennett to get a firsthand look at the yeshiva.
After eating breakfast in the area Bennett visited with Rosh Yeshiva HaGaon HaRav Eliezer Yehuda Finkel Shlita. He spoke with Rav Finkel and a number of rabbonim. Bennett was given an explanation of the seder hayom of the talmidim as well as the arrangements surrounding the transportation of thousands of talmidim to the yeshiva daily. In his tour of the main beis medrash Bennett had an opportunity to speak with a number of talmidim. He used the opportunity to stress “We are brothers, not enemies and I feel limud Torah is no less important than settling the Negev.”
There was an isolated incident in which a sikrik, a delinquent youth, who decided to use the opportunity to shout at Bennett.
From Mir Bennett traveled to Chevron Yeshiva Givat Mordechai to meet with the rosh yeshiva, rabbonim and talmidim.

The man is a Rasha. We now can see it clearly, as he pushes for civil marrieges and wouldn’t sit with Chareidim in the government.
Oh yes he loves us as little subservient sect, he will love us as the little tribe of Torah, but not as an equal partner.
Please don’t be a hypocrite. Do you look at the chiloni as an equal partner? Do you treat the B’nei Akivanik who goes to Yeshivas Hesder and the IDF as an equal partner? DO you trust his hashgachos, his conversions? Do you allow his kids in your schools if they dress differently? THe shoe fits a bit differently when it is on the other foot, many in our world are beginning to learn.
2: The chareidi parties have a long record of working with all kinds of non-frum Israeli governments. Naftali has no record. Meanwhile, Obama and Iran are laughing because Israel still doesn’t have a stable coalition government.
#1 Get used to the strange bedfellows of Israeli politics. Its mean like this since 1948 and not opt to change. Charedi parties have played the same game as bedfellows of those most hostile to them also.
MDshweks, you did not substantiate the point that he is a rasha. He is attempting to promote achdus and demonstrate that although the DL and charedi world may disagree on policy, they both agree on the primacy of Torah. Just because somebody does not share your view does not make them into a rasha.
